- Job Ref:
Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) provides a broad and diverse range of services for patients across mental health, physical health, learning disability and drug and alcohol services. With an annual budget of £150 million, we employ 3,400 people, a staff bank of 470 people and have an active volunteer base. We currently provide ‘place based’ services across a geographical footprint of Doncaster, Rotherham and North Lincolnshire, serving a population of 735,000 people. As a significant player in the region, we need to respond to the needs of our diverse population and foster new ways of working within the wider health and care partnerships to ensure seamless pathways of care. The Trust has a strong financial track record and it faces some operational challenges as it adapts to the changing needs of the communities we serve.
We are now seeking a strong NHS senior leader to lead our 4 Care Groups. You will already be operating at or close to board level with demonstrable experience of influencing performance improvement, service change and encouraging a sense of unity and ‘one team’ ethos. The successful candidate will be highly visible, inspiring and able to motivate teams to find sustainable solutions. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong background of continuous improvement and the ability to translate complex systems and processes into easily understandable messages for patients and staff. You will be resilient, solutions focussed and bring rigour to internal challenges to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
As an Executive Director you will be a key corporate champion, articulating the strategic vision for the organisation and influencing the effective delivery of corporate business plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Trust’s services, ensuring the delivery of high quality care. To do so you will possess robust leadership skills at an operational and strategic level. You will therefore need to forge key working relationships and ensure the controls and processes are in place across the full suite of operational functions.
This is a demanding and exciting role that provides an opportunity to be at the forefront of change at a progressive NHS provider. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong motivation towards enhancing health and care services and you will have the highest standards of personal integrity. You will also be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of, and alignment to, our values.
