Executive Recruitment

Welcome from Kathryn Singh, Chief Executive

Thank you for your interest in joining Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust as our new Chief Operating Officer.

Our current Executive Director, Debbie Smith will be leaving for pastures new at the end of February 2020 after almost 15 years working for our Trust.

I hope this information here helps you learn more about our organisation, our achievements, challenges, ambitions and values.  With over 3300 staff, income of £157m and more than 100 sites across Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire we are recognised as a leading provider of a wide range of Mental Health and Community based services.

Like so many Trusts we face a number of workforce challenges and have some operational pressures as a result. However, the work underway in our organisation to address recruitment and retention issues coupled with our focus on developing a compassionate and caring culture is starting to pay dividends.  We are especially proud to have been awarded ‘Freedom to Speak Up Organisation of the Year’ by the Health Services Journal in 2019 in recognition of the open culture we have created at RDaSH. This role will therefore be key in supporting the organisation, through a broad portfolio of responsibilities, to sustain and develop our proposition to our patients, service users and carers.

We are seeking a dynamic and progressive individual to join our high-performing board in this operationally critical role. We are an ambitious organisation with an exciting future that sees our people as our most prized asset in delivering against our Vision of Leading the Way with Care.  This is a wide-ranging role with responsibility that includes the operational delivery of high quality care through 4 Care Groups, acting as the Trust’s Emergency Planning Lead, the joint lead for optimising the clinical information system and working as part of a triumvirate leadership team with the Executive Director of Nursing & AHPs and the Executive Medical Director.

With a key role to play in promoting and engaging in whole system development and working across 3 places and 2 influential systems, this role will require a proactive approach to partnership working with other providers, regulators and our commissioners

We are an ambitious and values led organisation and this is an exciting time to join our dynamic Trust. I hope the opportunity is attractive to you and I encourage you to contact Robin Staveley at GatenbySanderson on        0113 205 6283   for a confidential discussion in the first instance.

I look forward to meeting you during the process.

Kind regards.

Yours sincerely

Kathryn Singh
